The NBA has unveiled its Christmas Day brand campaign, “Jingle Hoops Regifted,” an animated remix of the beloved 2013 “Jingle Hoops” commercial.

Now streaming across all NBA social media platforms and the NBA App, the spot will make its broadcast debut tonight during the Emirates NBA Cup East quarterfinal matchup between the Orlando Magic and the Milwaukee Bucks at 7 p.m. ET on TNT, truTV, and Max.

The new campaign kicks off with a familiar scene of five players practicing three-pointers to the tune of the Christmas classic “Jingle Bells.” The cast, reimagined as animated action figures, includes three players from the original 2013 ad—Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns), and LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers)—alongside newcomers Luka Dončić (Dallas Mavericks) and Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics).

As the players take their shots, they’re interrupted by Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), Nikola Jokić (Denver Nuggets), Tyrese Maxey (Philadelphia 76ers), and Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs), who swoop in to play a fresh melody. Also making an appearance are a toy figurine of ESPN’s Malika Andrews and a bobblehead of NBA on ABC’s Mike Breen, providing commentary on the chaotic scene.

The campaign was produced in collaboration with Translation and directed by Dave Scanlon, with live-action and animation by Passion Pictures. In addition to the 30-second commercial, the campaign includes four 10-second vignettes and will be supported by out-of-home, digital, social, and audio assets.

To celebrate the NBA’s 77th Christmas Day, fans can visit the NBA Hoopin’ Holiday Bus in New York City on Dec. 21 and 22. In partnership with ESPN, the NBA activation will feature holiday-themed fun, games, photo ops, hot cocoa, and surprises outside the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue (Dec. 21, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and near the Union Square holiday market (Dec. 22, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.).

The NBA’s Christmas Day celebration continues with five games, marking the 17th consecutive year of NBA action on Christmas. Each game will be available on ESPN, ABC, ESPN+, and Disney+. The day’s schedule kicks off with the Spurs facing the Knicks in their first-ever Christmas Day matchup (noon ET). For a unique twist, ESPN2, Disney+, and ESPN+ will air a special alternate broadcast, “Dunk the Halls,” the first animated NBA game presentation.

The schedule continues with a 2024 Western Conference Finals rematch between the Mavericks and Timberwolves (2:30 p.m. ET), the 76ers visiting the defending champion Celtics (5 p.m. ET), the Warriors hosting the Lakers (8 p.m. ET), and concludes with the Suns facing the Nuggets (10:30 p.m. ET).
