1. Bundesliga

Bayern Munich has long been known as a legend of the top-flight German football competition, the Bundesliga with a record of 31 titles. It is not a surprise that they once again won the 2020-21 Bundesliga. Bayern Munich won 24 out of 34 games of the tournament, drew six matches, and were only lost in four matches against 1899 Hoffenheim (1-4), Borussia Monchengladbach (2-3), Eintracht Frankfurt (1-2), and Mainz 05 (1-2).

They mainly created a huge difference in their wins, such as a 8-0 win as the first match of this club in the 2020-21 Bundesliga against Schalke 04, 5-0 over Eintracht Frankfurt, or 6-0 against Borussia Monchengladbach. FC Hollywood achieved a total of 78 points, 13 points away from the second-placed club RB Leipzig. With this result, Bayern Munich gained qualification to the group stage of the 2021-22 Champions League.

Although they had a successful start in the first round by a 3-0 win over 1.FC Duren, Bayern were defeated by Holstein Kiel in the penalty shoot-out. These two teams ended up with an equal result by 2-2, and both scored five penalty goals. In the sixth turn, the club lost to Holstein by one goal and thus were eliminated from the cup.

4. UEFA Champions League

Bayern Munich participated in the 2020-21 Champion League as the winner of the previous season of Bundesliga. They entered the group stage and stood in the top place of Group A with five wins out of six games.

They advanced to the knock-out phase after that and successfully surpassed Lazio in the round of 16 with a 6-2 win eventually after two legs. It was a pity for Hansi Flick’s students in the quarter-finals to miss out on a chance to go further because of the loss to PSG. They were equal in accumulated goals (3-3), but the away goals rule did help PSG to gain the ticket to the next round.
