List of Ajax first-team squad 

As of 4 September 2021, Ajax completed their first-team squad with a total of 26 players, including four goalkeepers, seven defenders, seven forwards, and eight midfielders. Dusan Tadic in the 10-jersey has been the captain of Ajax since 2019, along with Daley Blind as the vice-captain and Davy Klaassen as the 3rd captain.

Ajax have been a top-notch club in the Eredivisie, and they are still planning to retain their record for a longer time. With many young talents, it is not a hard task for them. Let’s check out the five brightest faces in the 2021-22 season that are worth taking a look at: 

5. Kenneth Taylor

This young player came from the youth side of the club and became a professional player of the senior side from the 2020-21 season. During this debut season, he was a part of the double Eredivisie title and the KNVB Cup. 

He has been appointed to the senior club thanks to his great performance in the youth squad of the national team. This 19-year-old midfielder has contributed 11 goals in the second-tier Eerste Divisie's previous season. Despite not scoring a goal yet, Kenneth has a bright future path in Ajax and is likely to prove himself in the 2021-22 season.

4. Devyne Rensch

Another young player on this list is Devyne Rensch. The 18-year-old defender has joined Ajax since 2020 and scored three goals in the Eredivisie. He is also playing for Jong Ajax, or known as Ajax II in the lower division, and provided them with three goals too.

Devyne’s market value is currently €10.00m, which has been increased from the old €8.00m value. He is grabbing the attention of plenty of Ajax fans over the 2021-22 season.

The international player from Argentina is also worth following in the 2021-22 campaign. He has been a part of Ajax since 2019, scoring five goals so far. Right in his second Eredivisie game, Lisandro was chosen as the man of the match.

It will be a big missing thing if we don’t have Sébastien Haller included on this list. Before playing for Ajax, he was a part of Premier League club West Ham United. Sebastien has scored 25 goals for Ajax since early 2020 after a completed 2020-21 season of the Eredivisie and the first matches of the 2021-22 Eredivisie.  

It is no surprise that Sebastian Haller is the top goalscorer of Ajax at the moment in this season, and his market value is €27.00m, the second-highest among Ajax players.

He has played for Ajax since 2018 and provided 10 goals until now. Ryan is also a first-line option for the national football team, from the youth squads to the senior team.
