In the event that Ferran Torres departs the team, it has been suggested that Barcelona may try to sign Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha. Zaha is now in the last six months of his Selhurst Park deal and is free to begin pre-contract negotiations with international teams. Although a transfer away from Selhurst Park has been predicted for the Ivory Coast international for a number of years, it has never happened.

Wilfried Zaha might replace Ferran Torres at Barcelona

Although Palace manager Patrick Vieira stated in the summer that he was certain Zaha would remain at the club, the 30-year-old is reportedly drawing a lot of attention both domestically and internationally. Zaha, who has six goals and two assists in 15 Premier League games this season, is reported of interest to a number of Premier League teams, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur.

With Ferran Torres' future at Camp Nou in doubt, Fichajes now says that Barcelona has set their sights on the former Manchester United starlet as a potential successor. The former Manchester City player has rapidly slipped down Barcelona's attacking pecking order and has only started six La Liga games in 2022–23.

Torres has a four-and-a-half-year extension on his deal at Camp Nou, but there have been rumors that the Spain international might leave soon due to his inability to crack the starting lineup.

After contributing 12 goals and 7 assists in 45 games for Barcelona, Torres has also been linked with a January move to Arsenal. Tottenham is reportedly contemplating a bid for him. Fichajes believes that despite being aware that Torres' performances do not support such a high asking price, Barcelona is still trying to recover between €40m (£35.4m) and €50m (£44.2m) from his sale.

Torres has also been linked with a January move to Arsenal

The 22-year-old entered the game for the final 28 minutes of the weekend's 1-1 La Liga derby match with Espanyol. This season, he has five goals and one assist in 19 appearances for Barcelona. Torres played for Man City in just 28 Premier League games during his tenure there, scoring nine goals and dishing out three assists en route to the team's 2021 championship.

Zaha, meanwhile, played for Palace's junior teams from 2004 to 2013 before joining Manchester United. He made just four professional appearances there before coming back to Selhurst Park. The Ivory Coast international played the entire 90 minutes in his team's 2-0 Premier League victory over Bournemouth on New Year's Eve. In 445 appearances with the Eagles across all competitions, he has accrued 89 goals and 75 assists.

Iñigo Martinez of Athletic is close to joining Barcelona

Iñigo Martinez may be one of Barcelona's first acquisitions for the next sports endeavor. A tiny transfer price to Athletic Bilbao was offered to sign him last summer, but it was rejected. The Blaugrana have been in contact with those close to him for months. Given the apparent apathy of the Basque club, who have not yet made many efforts to attempt to persuade him to stay, the center-back would arrive this year as a free agent.

However, Martnez's side does admit that Athletic has not made him a formal offer to extend his contract, which expires in June. Martnez's signing would be highly appealing to Barça. He is left-footed, is well-versed in La Liga, and the departure of Gerard Piqué makes room for another defender.

Barça is of the opinion that the procedure will be carried out unless there are any financial fair play restrictions that need to be addressed during the summer transfer window. Martnez represents a significant commercial opportunity, and he appreciates Barça's current interest in him. It would be the third effort to sign him, and it appears that it may finally happen in six months.

Memphis Depay is fed up with Barcelona's lack of opportunities for him

Memphis Depay made it plain that he wanted to stay at Barcelona until the end of the season, but despite the attacking difficulties Xavi's team was having against Espanyol in the first game after his return, he sat on the bench and did not enter the game.

Despite the fact that he appears more fit than football players with more minutes than him, the Dutchman can not understand why he is being shunned. He is getting worn out because he thinks that his inability to play more minutes has nothing to do with his athletic ability. When given opportunities, he has more than fulfilled them, but the organization has not backed him.

Therefore, the situation is the same as it was in the summer. Barça would have been willing to let him go, but they have now made it clear to him that if he wants to go, he must do it via a transfer and by waiving the remaining six months of his contract. The wage cap makes it impossible to sign new players, which has made it more difficult for players to go, which is why Memphis first decided to fulfill the deal to let the player walk free in June.

Several top clubs are interested in moving from Memphis in January. Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea are all after a striker in the Premier League, while Roma and Juventus would both be eager to sign him if he were available. The issue is that in order to keep his existing pay, the Dutchman would either have to leave as a free agent or go on loan until his contract expired.
