Gunmen in Argentina threaten Lionel Messi and his family

According to the Associated Press, gunmen in Argentina opened fire on a Unico shop owned by Lionel Messi's in-laws and then left a note threatening him. There were no injuries as a consequence of the early Thursday morning event.
Authorities said that two motorcycle-riding males fired at least a dozen rounds into the Rosario Unico, which is owned by Messi's wife Antonella Roccuzzo's family. After that, they placed a cardboard message with the words "Messi, we're waiting for you. " Pablo Javkin, the mayor of Rosario, is also a drug trafficker, so he won't take care of you."

The initial phase of the inquiry, according to prosecutor Federico Rébola, involves evaluating security camera video. Anbal Fernández, the federal government's security minister, responded to the event by saying it was typical of the drug-related violence that has plagued Rosario for the past 20 years. President Alberto Fernández has received criticism from opposition leaders over the city's ongoing violence.
