The Portuguese midfielder received the ball on his right and waived his cheek outside to pass to Rashford in the second column. The English attacker attempted to complete the goal but was stopped by Fred, who cushioned the empty net to complete the 5-0 triumph. Fernandes said that renowned player Ricardo Quaresma taught him how to pass the ball in such a manner.
