One of the most crucial members of Simone Inzaghi's team, the 27-year-old Slovakian center back has played 1907 minutes of action this season in Serie A and the Champions League. Skriniar is nearing a crucial turning point in his career with only six months remaining on his Inter deal.

According to Sky Sports Italia, Inter has given Skriniar an ultimatum and requested a definitive response by January 20. They might even withdraw their offer if one doesn't show up by that time and begin making preparations for his departure in the summer. The 27-year-old is in a difficult situation because Paris Saint-Germain has been really interested in Skriniar for several months and has made him a more lucrative contract than the Nerazzurri.

Milan Skriniar is a PSG's target

However, Beppe Marotta, the CEO of Inter, does not believe that Milan Skriniar has a deadline by which he must respond to the club's offer of a contract extension. The Nerazzurri executive said that there is no precise deadline by which Skriniar's response is anticipated to the Italian network SportMediaset before the team's Coppa Italia match against Parma, via FCInterNews, and also emphasized the significance of the Coppa Italia.

Although negotiations between Inter and Skriniar are still ongoing, it is unclear when they will end. The defender must respond to the Nerazzurri's persistent offer of a new contract for the negotiations to be concluded. There had been rumors of deadlines in November or December, but none of those dates passed without the 27-year-old providing a statement.

There is speculation about a potential time this month when the Nerazzurri will unquestionably be expecting Skriniar's response, but Marotta is unaware of any particular time frame. He responded, "We don't set deadlines, these are dynamics that come up for all clubs.

He continued, "I don't want to talk about meetings or anything else. Today, we're focusing on a really challenging period with several close-spaced matches; we want to pick up as many points as we can. Beyond the respect that is owed to each of our players, Marotta stated, our emphasis is on the matches we are going to face."

Beppe marotta rejects Skriniar's rumour

The CEO of Inter said, "I'm furious because we scored a fully good goal that would have allowed us to win, in reference to the refereeing dispute that surrounds Inter's 2-2 tie with Monza over the weekend. It seems only reasonable that referees could make mistakes since players and coaches sometimes occasionally make blunders. Marotta commented on the situation's lack of use of VAR by stating that "the fact that the whistle came quickly proved that occasionally VAR may become useless, and we have to take more care to make use of it appropriately."

The hope is that he can achieve the kind of physical health and form that would enable him to score goals in the manner that we have come to expect. The Coppa Italia is always a thrilling competition; all the major clubs take it seriously, and we are aware that unexpected results can occur, so you should never underestimate your opponent, according to Marotta of this evening's game. In addition, Marotta noted that "that's also an important trophy, it's prestigious, and we had gone a long time without winning it" in regards to next week's Supercoppa Italiana matchup with AC Milan.
