Liverpool have completed their first signing of the transfer window, agreeing to terms with Dutch international Cody Gakpo. The 23-year-old has chosen the No. 18 shirt at Anfield and will be eligible for his Reds debut in January.

Meanwhile, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal are anticipated to be active in the transfer market as they attempt to have a great second half of the season with the top-four race and title race still wide open. All three teams are interested in Joao Felix, who is poised to leave Atletico Madrid on loan, while Arsenal is still looking for Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Jude Bellingham, Enzo Fernandez, and James Maddison are among the players who have been linked with a move in January and may be enticed to make the transition midway through the season. Cristiano Ronaldo's future is also poised to be decided in the coming days, as he is getting closer to joining Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr with an alleged record-breaking offer for £173 million per year, which is considered to have been enough to change the 37-year-mind head.

Giroud has signed a new deal.

Olivier Giroud, aged 36, has extended his contract with Milan until June 2024 as a result of his World Cup heroics. The former Arsenal and Chelsea striker, who has nine goals in 19 appearances this season, was out of contract at the end of the season. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the 12-month extension will be at the same as his existing contract, which is for €3.2 million (£2.8 million) each year.

Cedric's bid is being prepared by Fulham.

According to the Evening Standard, Fulham are preparing to make a move for Arsenal defender Cedric Soares. The Portugal international has fallen down the Arsenal pecking order this season, starting only once.

Fulham, who recruited former Arsenal midfielder Willian last summer, are thought to be exploring a loan with an option to purchase or an instant permanent deal once the transfer market opens. However, Marco Silva's side aren't the only ones interested in signing the 31-year-old, with Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen also interested.

Mac Allister desires Juventus move.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, World Cup champion Alexis MacAllister wants to leave Brighton for Juventus. The transfer might be completed in January if the Italian giants can acquire the necessary funds by selling American midfielder Weston McKennie to the Premier League. Mac Allister, 24, rose to prominence in Qatar and has since wowed clubs around Europe. Juventus coach Max Allegri, who is looking for a new "contemporary" midfielder, is one of his fans. Even if discussions are ongoing, the Turin club is already arranging for France's Adrien Rabiot, who is out of contract in the summer, to go on a free transfer.

Mac Allister may replace him in the summer, or Juventus could pay up to €50 million (£44 million) for McKennie to go immediately. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Mac Allister has already discussed the transfer to Serie A with his father Carlos, a former colleague of Diego Maradona. There have been no official offers to Brighton, and Albion is in a strong bargaining position following the Argentines' agreement to a contract extension until 2025 with the possibility for an extra year to retain their valuable asset.

Arsenal is prepared to pay Felix's price.

According to the Mail, Arsenal will satisfy Atletico Madrid's requests for a loan transfer for Joao Felix. Atleti are willing to let the Portuguese star depart for the rest of the season for an £8 million loan fee, as long as the destination club also covers his salaries. While that looks to be too much for rival Manchester United, Arsenal are said to be willing to take the risk.

Al-Nassr expresses interest in signing Ronaldo's old colleague.

As they prepare to announce Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival, Al-Nassr hopes to persuade Sergio Ramos to join them. After his contract at Manchester United was terminated following his bombshell tell-all interview with Piers Morgan, the Portuguese superstar is seeking for a new job. In the summer, a transfer to Saudi Arabia was discussed but eventually denied. Now, with little interest from European teams, Ronaldo is prepared to transfer to the Middle East, where he is expected to end his career on a massive contract worth more than £60 million per year.

Chelsea remains interested in Rice and Bellingham.

Despite developments in the Enzo Fernandez chase, Chelsea remain in the running for Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham, according to the Evening Standard. The Blues might lose both Jorginho and N'Golo Kante for free this summer, necessitating some squad reinvestment.Rice and Bellingham have both been valued at £100 million or more, and signing Fernandez from Benfica would most certainly cost a similar sum.
