Arsenal's current situation

No have many choices in the attack

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, acknowledged that his team "doesn't have many choices" in the attack but insisted they are working to change this in January.

"We have what we have. Obviously we have some injuries as well and attacking areas... we don't have that many options. But it is what it is. That is something we always try, to improve our team. Every window is really important because we still have a lot of things to do with this team." – he said.

Lack of depth in the squad

In Gary Neville's opinion, Arsenal's present lack of depth will prevent them from winning the Premier League title this year.

"Ordinarily, Arsenal would bring on substitutions, change the shape of the game, and disrupt the Newcastle defense. But Arsenal don't have that luxury, and it's a big problem, particularly in tight games like this. We're only 17 games into the season - there are 21 games left. We knew before the game that Arsenal needed improvements in their squad, and this, I'm sure, will reinforce that." He suggested

Participating in Mykhailo Mudryk’s deal

Arsenal has an interest in Mykhailo Mudryk

Arsenal and Chelsea want to own Mykhailo Mudryk

Mykhailo Mudryk has been considered a transfer target for Arsenal for a long time. He is still up for discussion between Arsenal and Shakhtar Donetsk, and the talks are still focused on the amount of the cost and the payment schedule. A £55 million offer for Mudryk from the Premier League leaders was turned down last week. There is optimism that the clubs will "find a solution" as Arsenal is poised to come closer to Shakhtar's £85 million valuation of the Ukrainian winger on Tuesday. Chelsea is also a potential opponent in the race to sign this player.

Mykhailo Mudryk wants to go to Arsenal

Shakhtar officials had planned to watch the Blues' game against Manchester City on Thursday night as they held discussions with the club. Arsenal has already had an offer for Mudryk rejected and will now compete with Chelsea for his services. The player's social media activity implies he prefers the Gunners to another club, despite Shakhtar's desire to get the most money possible out of any potential trade.

Mykhailo Mudryk liked a post from an Arsenal memes account

By posting a mock Instagram image that showed him being held captive by Shakhtar Donetsk while they continue to hold out for better offers, Mykhailo Mudryk has given us yet another signal about his desire to sign with Arsenal. The winger is thought to be interested in moving to the Emirates Stadium. He has previously shared updates on his Instagram account showing him watching Arsenal matches, in one of which he referred to Mikel Arteta as a "great coach."

Negotiating a loan Joao Felix

Additionally, talks between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid regarding Joao Felix's potential loan signing are still ongoing. For a six-month loan, the Spanish team is asking for almost £19 million, which would cover the forward from Portugal's salary.

Arsenal wants to loan Joao Felix

Although Arsenal believes the price is excessive, there is still hope that a deal can be reached because it would meet both clubs' immediate needs. Given that Felix's contract with Atletico runs through 2026, the suggested loan would allow Arsenal to cover for the injured Gabriel Jesus without jeopardizing their ability to demand a high transfer fee for the player in the summer.

Other transactions in which Arsenal is interested

Youri Tielemans: Arsenal was interested in signing Youri Tielemans in December. They had negotiation to buy Leicester’s player. However, when the winter transfer period began, they appeared to lose interest and took no action to push this deal.

Elye Wahi : According to reports, Wahi, a striker for Montpellier, has been monitored by Arsenal in the January transfer window.

Dusan Vlahovic: Arsenal is willing to compete with Chelsea for the services of striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Alexis MacAllister: Arsenal was also interested in Alexis MacAllister. However, owning this player seems to be a difficult thing for Arsenal after Allister revealed that he prefers to move to Juventus instead of any club in England. In the latest update, despite interest from Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United, Brighton is convinced that World Cup champion Alexis MacAllister will still be playing for them at the end of January.

Ibrahima Bamba: PSG, Club Brugge, and Atalanta are all reportedly interested in the 20-year-old Italian Bamba, who now plays for Vitoria Guimaraes in Portugal. Therefore, the race to sign this player will be fierce for London’s club.

Adrien Rabiot: After his proposed transfer to Manchester United last summer fell through, Rabiot is allegedly interested in joining Arsenal this summer. However, because this player's contract expires at the end of the season, Juventus may sell him in January to make money, providing Arsenal with an opportunity to own the runner-up at the 2022 World Cup for a low price.

Ferran Torres: Arsenal is planning to rekindle their interest in Barcelona forward Fernando Torres after failing to sign him in the summer.

Some Arsenal players may leave the club

Cedric Soares: Right-back Cedric of Arsenal is a target for Fulham in the January transfer window. Currently, negotiations are underway, and Fulham is anticipated to submit a formal bid for Arsenal defender Cedric soon.

Martin Odegaard: Arsenal may be in danger of losing Captain Odegaard due to rumors that Real Madrid has taken notice of his early-season form.

Extending contracts with current players

Bukayo Saka: According to sources, Arsenal has activated a clause in Bukayo Saka's contract to keep him with the team through at least 2024.

William Saliba: The defender's contract extension through June 2024 has been activated by Arsenal.

Gabriel Martinelli: Martinelli will soon be among the club's top earners once Arsenal and the Brazil winger reach an agreement on a new contract. Martinelli and Arsenal are in the "final stages" of contract negotiations.

Reiss Nelson: The 23-year-old winger wants to stay at Arsenal longer by signing a new contract.
