Arsenal’s new transfer target after missing Mykhaylo Mudryk’s deal

Chelsea signing Mykhaylo Mudryk is a shock for Arsenal; however, the Gunners had new transfer targets to improve their strength in the short and long term.

Turning attention to Ivan Fresneda

The 18-year-old has drawn interest from several teams, including Newcastle, but the club may wait until the summer to make a move for him. Ivan Fresneda of Real Valladolid is up for grabs, and Arsenal has declared its interest in the young right-back.

Newcastle United and other teams from throughout Europe are rivals of Arsenal, but they have recently made it obvious how much they respect the 18-year-old. Fresneda may leave Valladolid this month, as the club has acknowledged, but if Arsenal decides to further up their interest, it is believed that they may prefer to wait until the summer to make their transfer.

A frequent starter for the Spanish team as they battle to avoid relegation, Fresneda has had a breakout season in La Liga this year. Although the ultimate price would depend on the number of teams that commit to making official approaches, it is believed that he might be available for between £10 million and £15 million.

Arsenal is weighing its options at fullback, and a potential signing of Fresneda might coincide with the impending departure of Fulham target Cedric Soares. Fresneda fits Arsenal's current hiring strategy, which involves signing young players with potential. He attended the Real Madrid academy for four years and is a future international for Spain.

Coach Pacheta of Valladolid claimed earlier this month that Fresneda plays with the maturity of a 30-year-old.

"It is a fantastic acquisition." Although I want him to stay here, I understand the club and am aligned with it in everything it does regarding the players. It is good for the player that he can continue playing, but I am sure he will do so wherever he goes.

Arsenal's pursuit of Fresneda has nothing to do with their effort to recruit Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhailo Mudryk. Weeks of negotiations between Arsenal and the Ukrainian team ended in spectacular fashion on Saturday when Chelsea outbid Arsenal. After falling short in its pursuit of Joao Felix earlier this month, Arsenal will now try to shift its focus to new forward targets.

Continuing to consider Youri Tielemans’s deal

Youri Tielemans’s deal

One of the biggest names outside of the Premier League's conventional "big six" is Leicester City's player, Youri Tielemans, a Belgian midfielder who has excelled throughout his four years in the East Midlands. He has recently been frequently mentioned in connection with a transfer to Arsenal.

He has contributed significantly to the Foxes' impressive Premier League results over that time, and he also scored the game-winning goal in the FA Cup final in 2021. At only 25 years old, he has already made a significant contribution to his nation by gaining 58 caps for the Belgian Red Devils.

Youri Tielemans

Due to their present reliance on Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey, Arsenal needs to bolster their midfield, and Tielemans might give Mikel Arteta's team the extra depth they require as the title fight enters its final stretch.

His term ends in the summer, so Arsenal can get in touch for a deal to close on July 1 or chase a discounted deal for the Leicester midfielder this month.

Leicester City’s opinion

In order to avoid a relegation fight, Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers has already claimed that he will want to hold onto some of his big names this month after selling some of them in the summer. He has since made it seem as though he could be open to considering offers for players that he believes to be dissatisfied with the team, which may be a signal concerning Tielemans.

"I believe that if someone does not want to be here or wants too much money to be here, we must be brave enough to say, 'Listen, thank you very much, and on you go,' because we are not a club with vast resources that can accommodate every single player's need, especially from a financial standpoint," he said.

Does Arsenal have an advantage in this deal?

If they pursue a deal, Arsenal would have to fight with other Premier League teams for Tielemans' signing, but they might have an advantage given their current lead in the standings.

The Belgian international was strongly linked to the Gunners over the summer, and there were rumors that his agent had spoken with Edu, giving the club an early advantage over other suitors.

The youngster, according to the most recent sources, has lost appeal after his agent spoke with the Arsenal management in the summer. As a result of the interest in other players, a trade may be doubtful, but should the Gunners move, the player would be attracted to them.

Keeping an eye on Youri Tielemans' backup plan - Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Arsenal might overpay for Tielemans if they sign him this January because of the terms of his contract, which will make him a free agent in the summer. However, midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic of Lazio might be a viable alternative this month.

According to Il Messaggero via Calciomercato, Lazio president Claudio Lotito is likely to agree to a loan exit worth £8.8 million with an obligation to make the transfer permanent for £35.5 million in the summer, meaning the Lazio midfielder might be available this month.

Arsenal, which had scouts present at a Lazio game earlier in the season, is said to be interested in a deal. Given the Serbian's history as a box-to-box midfielder, it is undoubtedly a plausible option.

Keeping the interest in Miguel Almiron

Since moving from Atlanta United in January 2019, Almiron has regularly stood out for his work ethic, but the attacker has struggled to contribute in the final third.

However, under Howe's tutelage, the Paraguayan international has been in excellent form and has emerged as one of the Premier League's most captivating wingers to watch.

And Arsenal, a rival in the Premier League, have expressed interest. According to the report, Arsenal is keeping an eye on Newcastle United's in-form winger Miguel Almirón and is prepared to try to make a bid during the current January transfer window.

Miguel Almiron

According to reports, Arsenal is looking to add a winger to its already brilliant attacking lineup, but they will need to outbid Atletico Madrid, who are the bookies to sign Almirón.

Howe has confessed that he does not anticipate any of his players going in January, so it appears that any trade is off.

"There is not a huge desire in me to sell anyone this window, but, and there is always a but, it depends on what’s presented to you." You can have an idea of how to keep the group together, but then something comes up out of left field that you or the club think is a good thing to do."

The winger, Almiron, is outstanding. However, it is not better if Almiron leaves Newcastle at this time unless he is presented with a compelling chance. However, we can see Arsenal rekindling their interest after the end of the current campaign.
