Giorgos Giakoumakis' request from Atlanta United is being rebuffed by Celtic. The team from Major League Soccer has made a bid for the Greek striker, but it is only for a loan with the possibility of purchase at the end.The Hoops, on the other hand, demand a direct transfer and financial security before they approve a move to the United States. Urawa Red Diamonds have already made a £4 million offer, and Celtic would prefer to accept it as-is. Giakoumakis prefers to relocate to Atlanta for familial reasons, and they have already outperformed the favorable conditions provided in Japan.

The frontman won't be moving to the United States unless Atlanta offers a reasonable guaranteed transfer fee, according to Celtic. The 28-year-old has also been told that Celtic are willing to keep him as a member of Ange Postecoglou's squad and then reevaluate things in the summer unless he accepts Urawa's offer or another suitable offer comes in.

The Celtic striker wants to leave Celtic

Giakoumakis wants to leave Celtic after failing to reach a contract agreement and because Kyogo Furahashi has replaced him as Postecoglou's primary striker. If Celtic and the Georgia-based team can come to an agreement is still up in the air. In order to make money available for Giakoumakis, Atlanta, which has a partnership with Aberdeen, has already transferred their designated player Josef Martinez to Inter Miami. Despite being able to move after the British transfer window closes because the American transfer market is still open, the 28-year-old is currently sweating to see if a deal can be made.

Oh Hyeon-gyu’s former manager reveals his transfer

According to Suwon Samsung Bluewings manager Lee Byung-keun, who believes his former star player would be a hero in Glasgow, Celtic sought to sign Oh Hyeon-gyu in the summer. This Monday, the 21-year-old South Korean international was officially signed by the Hoops, and manager Ange Postecoglou said that he has been keeping tabs on Oh for some time. His previous club in his native country has disclosed that the Scottish champions originally made their offer in the summer, before his heartbreaking World Cup exit, when he was left off of their squad for Qatar.

Celtic tried to sign the Korean foward in the summer

Lee revealed: “the initial offer was made by Celtic in the summer. Oh and I met back then, and he said that his aim was to play in Europe. He has now realized his dream, and I am confident that he will succeed. Oh is as good as any of the Japanese players who play for Celtic. He travels to Scotland with a strong sense of self-assurance. He wants me to come over as well so I can support him once he joins the squad and cheer for him. But he's given me a serious dilemma. Finding a replacement for him is my biggest concern for the upcoming season, and it won't be simple. Because we are aware of how challenging it will be to locate another player with his caliber, it was tough for me and the club to approve his demand to be transferred. However, we would never obstruct a player from traveling to Europe. And Oh had a tremendous urge to see that place. I wish him the best of luck, but he won't require it.”
