Dortmund's outgoing transfers

Over the past decade, Borussia Dortmund has solidified its position as one of Germany's premier clubs, alongside Bayern Munich. During the last 10 seasons, Dortmund clinched the Bundesliga title once and secured second place on five occasions.

Not only have the Black and Yellows emerged as formidable competitors to Bayern Munich's dominance in German football, but they have also gained a reputation for nurturing some of the world's finest talents. Several players, including Robert Lewandowski, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ilkay Gundogan, and Ousmane Dembele, arrived at the club as relatively unknown individuals but left as international superstars. Dortmund often made significant profits by selling these players.

In 2022, Norwegian forward Erling Haaland became Dortmund's headline departure, as he joined Manchester City for a reported fee of €60 million. However, the year 2023 witnessed an even more remarkable transfer for Dortmund. English international Jude Bellingham moved to Real Madrid in a deal worth €103 million, with the potential to rise even higher depending on additional bonuses.
