Transfer news: Felix expresses Manchester United and Arsenal's stance – December 26, 2022

Christmas has here, which means the January transfer window will soon be open! Even though it is the holiday season, teams in the Premier League and others don't have much time to relax since large transactions need to be finalized in the New Year and play resumes on Boxing Day. With games approaching thick and fast, it is believed that Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and other teams would all be seeking to bolster their squads. Cody Gakpo of PSV and Enzo Fernandez of Argentina are two breakthrough World Cup performers who have been linked to Premier League teams. England's Jude Bellingham is also receiving attention following a strong campaign.
Done deal: Wolves have signed Matheus Cunha
Brazilian international Matheus Cunha has joined Wolves on an initial loan agreement from Atletico Madrid, the Premier League team has confirmed. Subject to receiving a work visa, Cunha, 23, will begin playing for the club on January 1. He will then allegedly sign an automatic permanent contract for £43 million.
according to a statement on the club's website: "The Brazilian international flew to the UK and completed his medical earlier in the week, finalizing a loan move that will automatically become a permanent deal until 2027, should certain clauses be triggered."

The Martinelli deal is nearing completion
Our friend Fabrizio Martinelli reports that the renewal of his contract is moving along nicely. The Arsenal player has been in such great shape this year that Tite was forced to include him on his World Cup roster.
Felix's stance is obvious
Atletico Madrid striker Felix is thought to have decided on his future amid loan speculations from Manchester United and Arsenal. Whether moving to the Premier League or not, is eager to leave next month, according to AS. Felix would, however, be prepared to remain at Atletico and pledge his future to the team, depending on what transpires with Diego Simeone, it is said. Felix goes if the Argentine remains.

Kante to join Ronaldo?
There have been questions about Cristiano Ronaldo's prospective transfer to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, and now N'Golo Kante may follow. After his contract with Manchester United was terminated on the eve of the World Cup last month, Ronaldo is currently without a club. The Portuguese international is reportedly close to moving to the Middle East despite searching for another Champions League team and running out of choices.
If the high-profile transfer to Al Nassr goes through, he'll sign a massive £175 million-per-year contract, which will only rise after he transitions into an ambassadorial role when his playing career is finished. It is a wise choice, and the possibility of having Kante join you in the summer may make it even more so.
The star of Tottenham is negotiating to quit the team.
After travelling the other way from Tottenham to Sevilla just 18 months’ prior, Bryan Gil may be about to make the switch permanently. The two teams are negotiating a January deal for the playmaker, according to ABC Sevilla. He excelled when on loan at Valencia last season, and after failing to make an impression in North London, he might potentially return permanently to LaLiga.
Inter eyeing Thuram
Another World Cup superstar could be moving on. Marcus Thuram, following in his father's footsteps, participated in France's World Cup championship campaign. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan is allegedly planning a move, but they must first sell in order to pay Borussia Monchengladbach for him.

Goncalo Ramos's latest
Another player who made a big impression at the World Cup and led to a lot of transfer rumors was Goncalo Ramos. Given that Benfica wants to advance in the Champions League, GiveMeSport has learned that Ramos will remain with the team for the remainder of the current campaign. For Manchester United, Arsenal, and other teams that have been linked to a move, it is a blow.
Firmino contract update
Roberto Firmino, the 31-year-old Brazilian forward for Liverpool Football Club is in negotiations with a short-term contract extension that could keep him at Anfield until 2024. Speculation from UOL Sport suggests an imminent deal; despite the veteran's age, he has continued to perform this season and currently stands on seven goals and three assists through 13 Premier League matches. It remains to be seen when Firmino will officially put pen to paper but one thing is certain - both parties are eager for his future at LFC secured as soon as possible.
