Barcelona had an impressive start in the "El Clasico" against Real Madrid at the Camp Nou. Within the first 6 minutes, Robert Lewandowski took a long shot and Raphinha headed dangerously, but they couldn't beat Thibaut Courtois' reflexes.

On the other hand, Real Madrid got lucky when Vinicius Junior's cross from the left hit Ronald Araujo's head, causing the Barca defender to score an own goal in the 9th minute. Trailing their archrival, Barca pushed forward in search of an equalizer.

Chances came for Andreas Christensen, but the former Chelsea center-back couldn't find the net. Just when it seemed that Barca would go into halftime down by one, in the 45th minute, after Raphinha's shot, the ball deflected off Eder Militao and Sergi Roberto volleyed it into Real's net to level the score 1-1 for the home team.

In the second half, both sides continued to create an open game. In the 81st minute, Marco Asensio scored with a one-touch left-footed shot, but referee Ricardo De Burgos disallowed the goal for Real after consulting with the VAR, determining an offside by the Spanish midfielder.

In the second minute of stoppage time, Lewandowski flicked the ball to Alejandro Balde, who crossed it from the left for substitute Franck Kessie to blast it into the net of the "White Ballet," securing a 2-1 comeback victory for coach Xavi Hernandez's team.

With this result, Barca solidify their position at the top of the La Liga table with 68 points after 26 rounds, 12 points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid. Although there are still 12 rounds left in the 2022/23 season, the "Catalan Giant" seems to have one hand on the Spanish league championship trophy.
