Sevilla Transfer News: Chelsea join the race for Sevilla centre-back Jules Koundé

England reports revealed that Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel wanted to have Jules Koundé as one of the key objectives this summer. The Sevilla young defender has been chased the most these days. He has been highly appreciated due to his excellent box judgment, winning an average of three aerial duels a game last season.

Jules Koundé is looking forward to having better steps in his career, not only in terms of earning higher wages but also in priority to progress as a player. The Frenchman was tipped to join Tottenham in a part-exchange deal that involved Davison Sanchez before. However, the deal fell through when Koundé rejected the transfer because of the lack of Champions League football.

That Chelsea enters this race is making everything become better. The Blues can certainly tick all of the boxes for the Frenchman in terms of his sporting expectations. It is now reported that the recently-crown European champions are going to appeal a fee which is up to €60 million for this centre-back.

As for Sevilla FC, the club is expecting to cash in on the talented 22-year-old to raise capital for the reinforcements that manager Julen Lopetegui hopes to make ahead of the new season.
