Cameroon vs. Serbia final score, result (World Cup 2022): A dramatic match, Cameroon’s stunning comeback

Having lost the first match, both Cameroon and Serbia are determined to get three points in the confrontation in the second match to raise their hopes of progressing.

Cameroon's coach, Rigobert Song, believes that anything is possible in the 2022 World Cup, and that the African team will not give up hope of progressing further in the tournament. The former Cameroon international said: "We will give our best and not make the same mistakes as in the opening match. " "Serbia is a tough team, but Cameroon can get a good result against them."

Meanwhile, Serbia did not show much in the defeat to Brazil on the opening day, aside from a somewhat overly aggressive style. Their fouls caused injured star Neymar to miss the entire group stage. And the team from the former Yugoslavia will need to improve their game if they want to win the second round, rekindling the hope of going on.

Cameroon and Serbia gave the spectators an outstanding match with six goals scored. Both teams created a score chase that surprised the audience. 

Possessing an even and more appreciated squad, Serbia entered the game in a more dominant position than Cameroon. In the 11th minute, striker Aleksandar Mitrovic made a shot to send the ball into the goal of goalkeeper Devis Epassy, but it did not become a goal. 

After that, Serbia still pressed the Cameroonian field, but they could not score. They even conceded a goal in the 29th minute. From the corner kick, N'Koulou jumped to head the ball and let Castelletto hit the Serbian net.

Not accepting the lead, Serbia continued to put the formation up for attack, and their effort had the desired result. At 45+1 minutes, Dusan Tadic hung the ball just in range from a free-kick slightly on the left wing into the penalty area, allowing Strahinja Pavlovic to bounce high and head the ball into the far corner without giving goalkeeper Epassy a chance to save, tying the game 1-1 for "Eagle." 

The score of the first half seemed to be 1-1, but Serbia continued to hold their advantage after 2 minutes. At 45 + 3 minutes, Andrija Zivkovic dribbled the ball inside the box and then passed it back to Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to control the tempo before launching a dangerous left-footed long shot that hit goalkeeper Epassy's net, lifting Epassy's goal. The score went up 2-1 for Serbia.

In the second half, Cameroon still played inferiorly to its opponent. In the 53rd minute, Andrija Zivkovic had a skillful handle in the penalty area, eliminating goalkeeper Epassy and a Cameroon defender, and then passed the ball to Aleksandar Mitrovic to easily cushion the ball into an empty net, raising the score to 3-1 for Serbia.

Having a fairly safe lead, Serbia began to show their distraction and they had to cost for this.  In the 64th minute, Jean-Charles Castellotto made a long pass for Vincent Aboubakar to penetrate the penalty area and eliminate one defender before the ball went over goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, shortening the gap to 2-3 for Cameroon.

Cameroon remained the speed of the match and made Serbia team confuse. They quickly take the disturbance of the opponent and after only 2 minutes, Aboubakar continued to leave his mark when he dribbled on the right wing and then stretched smoothly for Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to cushion the ball close to the goal to hit Serbia, equalizing the score at 3-3 for Cameroon.

In the remaining time of the match, Serbia created a lot of chances to score on the Cameroon goal, but because they could not take advantage, they had to accept a 3-3 draw.

It is a result that does little to help either side. The two teams agree to divide the points as well as share the last two positions in Group G.
