According to updates from renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, both Premier League giants recently dispatched scouts to observe the 17-year-old sensation. Lorran, an attacking midfielder, honed his skills within the esteemed Flamengo youth system and has enjoyed a taste of top-tier football this season.

His inaugural senior appearance occurred in January, entering the pitch as a late substitute against Audax Rio. Remarkably, in his maiden start, Lorran etched his name in history by notching the equalizing goal in a 1-1 draw against Bangu Atletico Clube. At just 16 years of age, he secured the title of Flamengo's youngest-ever scorer.

Chelsea has been actively exploring the Brazilian league's talent pool, previously securing acquisitions like Andrey Santos from Vasco da Gama, and Angelo Gabriel and Deivid Washington from Santos.

Notably, the rising star has inked a representation deal with ROC Nation Sports, the agency affiliated with the famed rapper Jay Z, joining compatriots Vinicius Junior, Lucas Paqueta, Gabriel Martinelli, and Endrick.
