In March 2021, he made his return to the national squad in a 0–0 draw with Cyprus. He made numerous remarkable saves in the second half to avert an upset loss, and he was praised for them, but the squad was chastised for the upset result and the "boring" performance. He was named to Slovakia's final Euro 2020 roster, and he appeared in all three group matches. Slovakia had a limited chance of qualifying for the knockout stage as a third-placed team going into the match against Spain on June 23. Dbravka got off to a good start, stopping a penalty kick from lvaro Morata in the 12th minute. When Pablo Sarabia's shot struck the crossbar, he attempted to knock the ball away but instead punched it into his own net. He became the only goalkeeper in the history of the European Championships to save a penalty and score an own goal in the same game. Spain went on to win the match 5–0, with Dbravka conceding four goals.
