Chelsea has confirmed the departure of Mauricio Pochettino by mutual agreement after his solitary season at the helm of the Blues. Despite facing challenges throughout the campaign, Pochettino concluded with a winning streak, securing a sixth-place finish and European football for the next season. The decision to part ways with Pochettino has stirred discontent among some Chelsea supporters as Todd Boehly and associates embark on the quest for a new manager.

Amidst this development, Cole Palmer emerged as a standout performer for Chelsea in the 2023-24 season following his transfer from Manchester City last summer. The 22-year-old impressed with 22 goals and 11 assists, marking a remarkable debut season at Stamford Bridge. Palmer's exceptional displays earned him recognition as the Premier League's Young Player of the Season and secured a spot in England's Euro 2024 squad.

Palmer wrote on Instagram: "Gaffer, thank you for everything you have done for me & making my dreams come true. All the best.

On the final day of the season, at just 22 years and 13 days old, Palmer made history as the youngest player ever in the league to top the charts for combined goals and assists, boasting an impressive total of 33 (22 goals, 11 assists).

Pochettino's departure from Chelsea coincides with a time when several prominent names are available in the managerial market. The likes of Thomas Tuchel, Roberto De Zerbi, Massimiliano Allegri, and even Jose Mourinho are currently without a club. Additionally, there have been murmurs linking Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna to a potential move to Stamford Bridge, while Thomas Frank, Sebastian Hoeness, and even Gareth Southgate are among the candidates being considered.
