According to Rooney, Guardiola's influence extends beyond just the Premier League, as he has provided valuable coaching to young English players, helping them develop into senior players and contributing positively to the national team.

Guardiola, who achieved a historic treble with City last season and won a total of 12 major trophies during his seven-year tenure at the Etihad Stadium, has been instrumental in City's dominance in recent times.

Arteta, formerly a part of Guardiola's coaching team, took over as Arsenal's manager in 2019. After an initial success with an FA Cup win, Arteta faced some challenges before transforming the team last season, where they led the Premier League for a significant period before City ultimately surpassed them.

Rooney also admires Arteta's coaching accomplishments and appreciates his progress as a young coach. He sees Arteta's experience working with Guardiola as instrumental in his development as a manager.

At 52 years old, Guardiola is about to embark on his eighth season at the Etihad Stadium, a testament to his enduring commitment and dedication to the club. His previous season's achievements were remarkable, as he led the Blues to an illustrious treble, marking a historic milestone in the club's history.
