Top three all-time greatest managers of Inter Milan

Helenio Herrera

Inter's approach to success under Herrera was questioned by several analysts, who said that it prioritized efficiency above exciting play. But none of this bothered the Argentinian, who was just concerned with winning, which he accomplished.

Heleno's wins between 1960 and 1968 are his most well-known achievements. He led the club to win three Serie A crowns, two European Cups in a row, and two Intercontinental Cups. He also coached the Spanish and Italian national teams during that time.

Many people consider this brilliant strategist to be one of the greatest managers in football history. Helenio Herrera was admitted into the Italian Football Hall of Fame after his death in 2015.

Roberto Mancini

Along with Helenio Herrera, Roberto Mancini also led Inter Milan to seven, and the most trophies inside and outside Italian football arenas. Under the guidance of Roberto in six seasons, Inter Milan have won 58.08% of their games (176 winning matches out of 303 total matches). They also achieved three Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia, and two Super Coppa Italiana trophies.

José Mourinho

Jose Mourinho is known as “The Special One” in football worldwide. He led the club with five trophies, ranked second in terms of the number of trophies, but is the first and only head coach who helped Inter Milan win their first treble in the 2009-2010 season, including Serie A, Coppa Italia, and UCL. This Portuguese man was not only successful in Inter Milan but also Porto FC and Chelsea before that.

Simone Inzaghi replaced Antonio Conte to be the new Inter Milan manager in the next season

At the end of the 2020-21 season, Italian football manager Simone Inzaghi signed a two-year deal with Inter Milan and became the head coach of this club to replace Antonio Conte.

He spent 11 years with Lazio, from the youth, interim, to the senior first team in 2016. Under the guidance of Simone, Lazio won two Supercoppa Italiana titles and one Coppa Italia cup. He also led them to the last 16 in their first UEFA Champions League campaign after 13 years in his first season with Lazio.

Inter is allegedly seeking to cut the salary bill by 15-20 percent and generate 70-100 million euros from player sales before next season, so Simone’s intentions to strengthen his team were in conflict with the club's financial condition.
