Who is the best Inter Milan player in the 2020-21 season?

There is no one else but Romelu Lukalu who was the best player of Inter Milan in the previous season. He was also the top goalscorer of the club with the most goals (30), including 24 Serie A goals, two Coppa Italia goals, and four Champions League goals, making him the second-highest scorer in the Serie A, just behind Christiano Ronaldo. He also provided 11 assists in the 2020-21 season, which contributed to Inter Milan’s triumph in the Serie A, after 11 years since their last championship in this prestigious Italian league, increasing their number of Serie A titles to 19. 

Romelu is also considered one of the best left-footed players in the world. No wonder why this Belgian footballer was named one of the most promising young players by The Guardian seven years ago, in 2014. The 28-year-old Inter Milan was awarded the best overall most valuable player of Serie A in the 2020-21 season.

However, unfortunately, Romelu won’t stay in Inter Milan in the next season because he is set to move to the west London club, Chelsea in the middle of August. So he won’t join Inter in the preseason and a friendly match on Sunday against Parma. Chelsea are also very excited to have him as soon as possible, before the opening of the 2021-22 Premier League.

Origins

Inter Milan, or actually named Football Club Internazionale Milano, or Internazionale, is an Italian professional football club based in the namesake city with their neighboring club AC Milan. They were founded 113 years ago, on 9 March 1908 as Football Club Internazionale. This name expressed the demand of founding members to welcome all foreign players from outside Italy. Over time, they have gained different nicknames, such as Nerazzurri (meaning The Black and Blues) as their home color, La Beneamata (The Well-Cherished One), or II Biscione (The Big Grass Snake)

Since their inception, the club have never been relegated and always played in the top-flight competitions of Italian football.
