Is Kylian Mbappe's Departure from the Pitch Due to Injury Cause for Concern?

The forward experienced some discomfort following an early challenge by Leonardo Balerdi.

Mbappe initially walked off the field for additional treatment but returned briefly. However, he soon halted play and kicked the ball out of bounds before heading straight down the tunnel.

This setback is a cause for concern for PSG manager Luis Enrique. Mbappe has been a crucial presence since rejoining the squad after a summer filled with uncertainty about his future.

Prior to Le Classique at Parc des Princes on Sunday, Mbappe had already netted seven goals in just four Ligue 1 appearances for the reigning French champions.

Despite his premature exit during the Marseille match, Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique confirmed that Mbappe's injury is not a serious one, stating, "It's not serious, but there was pain. I think it was smarter to go out (substituted). It's a setback, but he's fine."

Even without Mbappe, PSG managed to dominate their local rivals, securing a convincing 4-0 victory in Le Classique. Achraf Hakimi initiated the scoring with a splendid free-kick in the eighth minute, and Randal Kolo Muani contributed his first goal in PSG colors.

The visiting team continued to apply pressure and were rewarded for their efforts as Goncalo Ramos secured a brace in the second half to seal a comprehensive triumph.

Mbappe has been in exceptional form this season, tallying seven goals in just five Ligue 1 appearances. He will be eager to return to action when PSG faces Clermont Foot on September 30.
