Lionel Messi Pelted with 'Water Bomb' by Anti-fan, Leaving Security in Awe After Match

After the match, the World Cup champion spent an extended period on the pitch, engaging with various celebrities, including actor Owen Wilson and LAFC's Giorgio Chiellini. As Messi made his way towards the BMO Stadium tunnel, an object was hurled in his direction. Fortunately, it missed his head and struck a nearby barrier, prompting security personnel to swiftly escort him down the corridor.

During the same game, Lionel Messi's personal security detail was compelled to restrain a fan who invaded the pitch following Inter Miami's impressive 3-1 triumph over LAFC.

Messi's dedicated bodyguard, who has been accompanying him since his high-profile move to America, took decisive action and grappled with the intruding fan, who was sporting an old Barcelona jersey with Messi's name on the back. They then collaborated with security personnel to remove the fan from the playing area.

Lionel Messi's arrival at Inter Miami has brought the anticipated rewards for the Herons, with the forward contributing to 16 goals in just 11 appearances. While qualifying for the MLS Playoffs may appear challenging on paper, it is highly probable that the club will make its inaugural postseason appearance in the MLS.

Inter Miami and Messi are temporarily parting ways for the next two weeks, as the Argentine will be representing his national team in their matches against Ecuador and Bolivia in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
