Jude Bellingham has landed a £4 million pay rise, making him the highest-paid player in Real Madrid's history.

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has received a salary boost of around £4 million per year, making him one of the highest-paid players in the club's history, alongside superstar Kylian Mbappé.

The England midfielder has been sensational since joining Madrid from Borussia Dortmund for approximately £88.5 million last summer, scoring 23 goals in all competitions and playing a crucial role in the team’s triumphs in both La Liga and the Champions League.

Following this remarkable performance, the club has decided to enhance Bellingham's pay package, similar to what they recently did for Brazilian forward Vinicius Jr. Both players, previously earning around £8.4 million a year, will now receive £12.5 million annually, equal to Mbappé's salary. This move reportedly aims to prevent any potential friction among the trio.

The report notes that their new salaries align with those previously earned by former stars Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Eden Hazard.

Although Bellingham has only played three matches this season due to a muscle injury sustained in training, he made a quicker-than-expected return, starting in the team’s recent 3-1 Champions League win over Stuttgart. He will now look to continue his successful run at the Bernabéu, joining Vinicius, Mbappé, and Rodrygo in what is considered a formidable attacking lineup, with the team favored to compete for multiple titles this season.

While Mbappé went three La Liga games before finding the net, he has since scored five goals in all competitions, and Vinicius has netted two. Currently, the team sits third in the league table with three wins and two draws, trailing rivals Barcelona, who lead with five victories from five matches.

With the trio all shining and nominated for the Ballon d'Or, manager Carlo Ancelotti acknowledged that there could be some "jealousy" from teammate Rodrygo regarding their impressive performances.

He said: "Of course, if it happens [jealousy], I'll detect it, but right now I don't think so. There's a very good and healthy atmosphere in the dressing room.

"For him, it is a motivation to compare himself with these players [Vinicius, Mbappé, Bellingham]. For me, he is as important as the others. He doesn't tell me that he has a problem, he has never talked to me about this."
