Newcastle United Confirm Open-Top Bus Parade to Celebrate Carabao Cup Triumph

Newcastle United have finalized plans for their Carabao Cup victory celebrations, which will feature a bus parade on Saturday.

The club has been coordinating with Newcastle City Council and Northumbria Police to organize the event. The parade will begin at St James' Park, travel through Gallowgate and Percy Street, and conclude at the Town Moor.

In an official statement, the club announced: "Newcastle United has confirmed further details for the Carabao Cup celebrations, with the team set to embark on a bus parade before a special event at the Town Moor.

"Eddie Howe's side will celebrate their recent cup win with a city centre open top bus on Saturday 29 March, which will start at St. James' Park, before making its way to the Town Moor for the celebration event. Extensive work and long-term planning behind the scenes have continued with Newcastle City Council, Northumbria Police, Freemen of Newcastle, the North East Combined Authority, NE1, Nexus and the emergency services.

"Newcastle United would like to thank all partners for the comprehensive planning and hard work throughout the process, as well as the meetings with the Safety Advisory Group. Further supporter information will be confirmed following additional meetings this week."

Due to overwhelming interest from supporters eager to attend the Town Moor event, fans who have registered will receive their tickets via email.

Celebration Route & Timings

The bus parade will be open to the public and will begin at St. James' Park, with exact timings to be confirmed in advance. The parade will travel through Gallowgate, turn onto Percy Street, and continue along the B1318 towards Gosforth.

The bus will make a scheduled stop at the Town Moor, where the players will disembark and take to the stage for the celebrations. For those unable to follow the parade in person, the entire route will be broadcast live on large screens at the Town Moor.

Transport and Travel

Fans are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance and use public transport where possible. Several road closures will be in place on Saturday, 29 March, affecting the following roads (closure times to be confirmed):

• Barrack Road (from St. James' Park to Gallowgate)

• Gallowgate

• Percy Street

• B1318 (to Great North Road)

• Great North Road

Food & Drink

Attendees are welcome to bring their own food and drinks to the Town Moor event. However, as this is a family-friendly occasion, alcohol is not permitted. Bags up to the size of a daypack are allowed but may be subject to security checks.
