Steven Gerrard's Daughter Lilly-Ella, 20, Expecting First Child with Son of Jailed Gangster

Steven Gerrard's eldest daughter, Lilly-Ella, has announced she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Lee Byrne, the son of a convicted gangster.

The 20-year-old shared a photo of her positive pregnancy test, accompanied by the message: "Our little secret. The best news... mini us is on the way."

Lilly-Ella's partner, Lee, is the son of Irish gangster Liam Byrne, who was jailed in 2024 for five years on weapons charges after being arrested in Spain in 2023. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to import firearms and is expected to serve half of his sentence, having already spent 14 months in custody.

Lee, who is not involved in criminal activities like his father, has expressed deep affection for Lilly-Ella, calling her "the best person I've ever met." The couple was first linked together over two years ago, with their relationship becoming public in October 2022 after they were seen vacationing in Ibiza.

Steven Gerrard and his wife, Alex Curran, are currently residing in Bahrain following Gerrard's appointment as Al-Ettifaq's head coach in 2023. The couple has four children: Lilly, 20, Lexie, 18, Lourdes, 13, and their eight-year-old son, Leo.

Steven Gerrard signed a two-year contract extension with Al-Ettifaq in January, extending his stay with the Saudi Pro League club until 2027. After leading the team to a sixth-place finish in his first season, his second campaign has been more challenging, sparking speculation about his future in the Middle East.

Al-Ettifaq currently sit 11th in the league, just six points above the relegation zone. In November, Gerrard's close ally, Michael Beale, was appointed as his assistant after the departures of Dean Holden and Mark Allen.

Gerrard commented on the changes, saying, "The club made decisions regarding the departures of Mark Allen and Dean Holden. They also decided to bring in Michael Beale, who is an excellent coach.
