Arsenal – Mohamed Elneny

Time spent at club - 8 years, 29 days

Arriving at the shores of north London as the sole addition in the winter transfer window of 2016, Elneny initially struggled to establish himself as a regular starter for Arsenal. Subsequently, he embarked on a loan spell with Besiktas during the 2019/20 season, leading many to speculate that his return would signal a departure from the club.

However, contrary to expectations, Elneny has remained with Arsenal, offering a sense of continuity amidst significant squad changes. Despite limited playing time, Mikel Arteta has deemed his presence essential, even securing a contract extension for him in February 2023. While his on-field contributions may be modest, it's possible that his off-field influence and professionalism have garnered recognition within the club.

Despite recent reports hinting at a potential departure from Arsenal, Elneny's future remains uncertain, and the upcoming summer transfer window may see him seek new opportunities elsewhere.

Aston Villa – John McGinn

Time spent at club - 5 years, 6 months, 4 days

Emerging as one of the Premier League's most underrated midfield stalwarts, McGinn has endeared himself to the Villa Park faithful since his arrival in 2018 from Hibernian. Accumulating an impressive 217 appearances for Aston Villa, the Scottish midfielder has solidified his status as a fan favorite.

Now donning the captain's armband, McGinn has played a pivotal role in guiding Villa through a resurgence under Unai Emery following a challenging period under Steven Gerrard. With the club firmly in contention for Champions League qualification in the 2023/24 season, his leadership and on-field contributions have been instrumental.

Under contract until 2027, the 29-year-old is poised to play a significant role in Villa's ambitions for success in the foreseeable future.

Bournemouth – Adam Smith

Time spent at club - 10 years, 15 days

Our first player to reach the illustrious 10-year milestone at his current club. Whether it's the allure of the golden beaches or the invigorating sea breeze, something has kept Smith rooted on the south coast.

Despite making just one appearance for his boyhood club Tottenham Hotspur out of 195 top-flight games, Smith has seamlessly integrated himself into the fabric of Bournemouth, from battling it out in the trenches to gracing the pitch alongside England's elite. While he lifted Championship silverware in the 2014/15 season, Smith has yet to add to his trophy collection since then. Nonetheless, he remains adored by Cherries supporters for his unwavering loyalty and commitment.

Brentford – Rico Henry

Time spent at club - 7 years, 5 months, 12 days

Henry has actually been with the club for seven years, having joined during a time when they were aiming for a 10th-place finish in the Championship under Dean Smith. Since then, the Englishman has played a pivotal role in Brentford's journey to solidify their Premier League status, reaching the impressive milestone of over 200 games early in the current season.

Regarded as one of the top 10 left-backs in the league when fit, Henry unfortunately missed a significant portion of the 2023/24 season due to an early-term injury. Thomas Frank will undoubtedly look forward to having his defender back in action soon as the Bees strive for a strong second half of the season.

Brighton – Lewis Dunk

Time spent at club - 13 years, 7 months, 12 days

Having risen through the ranks of the Brighton academy, the South Coast club, renowned for their ability to unearth hidden gems, recognized early on that they had a promising long-term prospect in Lewis Dunk. Since making his Premier League debut in 2017, Dunk has seamlessly adapted to life in the top flight.

Dunk's journey began with his senior debut for Brighton back in April 2010, during their League One campaign. Over the years, he has evolved into one of the club's most dependable performers in the Premier League, all while proudly wearing the captain's armband. His consistent displays have cemented his status as a Brighton legend.

Burnley – Johann Berg Gudmundsson

Time spent at club - 7 years, 6 months, 24 days

Gudmundsson made his way to Turf Moor in 2016 alongside Nick Pope, both transitioning from Charlton Athletic to Burnley. While Pope has since moved on to Newcastle United, Gudmundsson has remained steadfast, accumulating over 200 appearances for the club.

His tenure at Burnley has seen him play a pivotal role in their resurgence from relegation to the Championship. Despite the club's current battle against relegation under manager Vincent Kompany, Gudmundsson continues to be a key figure in the squad. Kompany will be relying on Gudmundsson's wealth of experience to aid Burnley's bid to retain their Premier League status, as they face the looming threat of relegation and a return to the Championship.

Chelsea – Reece James

Time spent at club - 4 years, 7 months, 12 days

As Callum Hudson-Odoi bid farewell and transferred to Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2023, Reece James ascended to become Chelsea’s most devoted player, boasting over four years of service in the senior team. Since the tender age of six, the 24-year-old defender has remained loyal to the club, a journey that culminated in him assuming the role of club captain following the departure of Cesar Azpilicueta. However, his opportunities to lead the team have been limited this season.

Unfortunately, James suffered a setback early in the season when he sustained an injury against Liverpool in the opening fixture, and subsequently endured another setback against Everton, which required surgery for a hamstring ailment. Widely regarded as one of the premier right-backs in the league when fully fit, Chelsea supporters eagerly await the return of their homegrown talent to peak physical condition.

Crystal Palace – Joel Ward

Time spent at club - 11 years, 7 months, 12 days

Having been acquired for a mere £400,000 from Portsmouth in 2012, it's evident that the seasoned defender has justified his value. At 34 years old, Ward has amassed over 350 appearances for Palace, with 294 of those occurring in the Premier League. While his goal contributions are modest, with just six goals and 11 assists, this aligns with the expectations for a defensive-oriented player.

Now serving as the club's captain, Ward has witnessed a multitude of talented players come and go, including Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Wilfried Zaha, and many others. There's a possibility that his tenure at Selhurst Park may be drawing to a close, yet retaining his experience could prove invaluable for the team.

Everton – Seamus Coleman

Time spent at club - 15 years, 1 month, 11 days

With nearly 15 years under his belt at Everton, the right-back has undoubtedly cemented himself as a cult hero. Coleman's loyalty to the Toffees is unparalleled, making him the longest-serving player on this list with 15 years at Goodison Park.

While he may have passed his prime, Coleman was once a standout defender, renowned for his defensive solidity and attacking prowess. Fans will fondly recall Everton's dynamic full-back pairing of Coleman and Leighton Baines. Former manager Frank Lampard even praised Coleman as "one of the best people" he had ever encountered, highlighting his all-around qualities.

Fulham – Tom Cairney

Time spent at club - 8 years, 7 months, 12 days

Having made Craven Cottage his home for the past eight years, Cairney has been a steadfast presence, featuring in over 300 games, scoring 45 goals, and providing 36 assists during his tenure. Through the club's various ups and downs, including multiple relegations and promotions from the Championship, Cairney has remained a constant figure.

As the club's captain for several seasons, Cairney has endeared himself to Fulham supporters. His recent contract extension in January 2024 ensures his stay at the club until the summer of 2025, with the potential to extend beyond that. If he does, the 33-year-old midfielder could mark a decade in west London, further solidifying his status as a Fulham stalwart.

Liverpool – Joe Gomez

Time spent at club - 8 years, 7 months, 12 days

Following Jordan Henderson's departure to the Saudi Pro League and subsequently to Ajax, the title of Liverpool's longest-serving player fell to Joe Gomez. Gomez made the move from Charlton Athletic to Liverpool in 2015 and has since established himself as a regular presence in Jurgen Klopp's defensive lineup.

Capable of playing both centrally alongside Virgil van Dijk and on either flank, Gomez has accumulated over 200 appearances for Liverpool's senior team during his nearly nine-year tenure at the club. Notably, despite his defensive prowess, Gomez has yet to score a goal for the Reds. With his contract running until 2027, it appears likely that he will reach the milestone of a decade at the club.

Luton Town – Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu

Time spent at club - 10 years, 15 days

Mpanzu's journey through the English football pyramid exemplifies loyalty in its purest form. He joined the Hatters when they were competing in the 2013/14 National League campaign and has played a pivotal role in their ascent through the ranks. His contributions were instrumental in their success, culminating in their victory in the 2023 Championship play-off final, where he etched his name into the history books as the first player to achieve promotion from the fifth tier to the Premier League with the same club.

Since Luton's promotion to the English top flight, Mpanzu has continued to excel, playing a significant role under Rob Edwards as the club strives to avoid relegation back to the Championship. With 18 appearances in the Premier League thus far, Mpanzu has become a revered figure in Luton folklore, showcasing his dedication and commitment over more than a decade of service to the club.

Manchester City - Kevin De Bruyne

Time spent at club - 8 years, 5 months, 13 days

Remarkably, the talented Belgian is the sole remaining asset from the pre-Pep Guardiola era in the squad. De Bruyne's £55 million acquisition initially raised eyebrows, especially given his prior struggles at Chelsea, but Manchester City are now reaping the rewards.

Eight trophy-laden seasons later, he has emerged as a contender for the title of the Premier League's greatest-ever midfielder, thanks to his sublime passing range, exceptional ball-striking ability, and overall midfield mastery for City. Currently occupying the fourth spot in the Premier League's all-time assist charts, De Bruyne's pivotal role in City's recent triumphs cannot be overstated.

Manchester United – Luke Shaw

Time spent at club - 9 years, 7 months, 12 days

Arriving at Manchester United as a young prospect from Southampton in 2013, Luke Shaw faced uncertainty regarding his future at the club, particularly following well-publicized clashes with former manager Jose Mourinho. However, Shaw has not only outlasted Mourinho but has also become an indispensable part of United's defensive lineup.

Regarded as one of the top 10 left-backs in the Premier League when fit, Shaw contributes significantly to United's attacking play while maintaining defensive solidity. With nearly a decade at the club and over 270 appearances under his belt, the Englishman has proven to be a worthwhile investment for the Red Devils.

Newcastle United – Paul Dummett

Time spent at club - 11 years, 7 months, 12 days

At St James' Park, the title of the longest-serving player belongs to Paul Dummett, edging out captain Jamaal Lascelles for the honor. Except for loan spells with Gateshead and St Mirren, Dummett has remained loyal to Newcastle throughout his entire playing career.

Under Eddie Howe's management and the club's significant spending spree following its takeover, Dummett has fallen out of favor. Despite being 31 years old, he has only featured in one Premier League match this season, indicating that his time at the club may be drawing to a close. Nonetheless, Dummett's legacy at Newcastle will endure, particularly for his pivotal role in the team's promotion back to the Premier League in 2017, during which he appeared in 45 out of 46 games.

Nottingham Forest – Ryan Yates

Time spent at club - 7 years, 7 months, 12 days

Before his loan move to Besiktas in February, the distinction of the most senior player at the City Ground belonged to center-back Joe Worrall, a product of Nottingham Forest's academy. However, Worrall's temporary transfer to Turkey opened the door for someone else to assume the mantle.

That someone is midfielder Ryan Yates, another academy graduate who has remained at Forest for the duration of his career, save for loan spells at Barrow, Shrewsbury, Notts County, and Scunthorpe United. Since 2018, Yates has been a consistent presence in the team and played a pivotal role in Forest's return to the top flight in 2022. With 188 appearances for the club under his belt, the 26-year-old still has time to add to his tally before his contract expires in 2025.

Tottenham Hotspur – Ben Davies

Time spent at club - 9 years, 6 months, 20 days

Hugo Lloris' departure to MLS side Los Angeles FC marked the end of his 12-year tenure in north London, leaving the title of longest-serving Tottenham player to be inherited by left-back Ben Davies.

Davies, who joined Spurs from Swansea City in 2014, is on track to reach the milestone of 10 years at the club. However, he has seen limited playing time under Ange Postecoglou, largely due to the emergence of Destiny Udogie. Interest from Leeds during the winter transfer window suggests that Davies could be seeking a move away in the summer. In the event of his departure, captain Son Heung-min would assume the role of Tottenham's most loyal servant.

West Ham United – Aaron Cresswell

Time spent at club - 9 years, 7 months, 12 days

Making over 300 appearances for one club is a remarkable feat, especially considering Aaron Cresswell had already made 218 appearances elsewhere before joining West Ham in 2014 from Ipswich. Approaching a decade at Upton Park/the London Stadium, the Liverpool-born defender has been a stalwart for the Hammers.

However, he has been limited to just three Premier League appearances so far this season, with Emerson Palmeri emerging as the preferred left-back under David Moyes. This lack of playing time could potentially see him on the chopping board come the summer. Since the retirement of Mark Noble, also known as ‘Mr. West Ham’, in 2022, the club has been in need of a new leader. While Cresswell may not entirely fill those boots, he remains a valuable presence at the club until he eventually moves on.

Wolves – Max Kilman

Time spent at club - 5 years, 6 months, 3 days

Despite joining Wolves from Maidenhead in 2018, Kilman's tenure at the club may seem relatively short compared to some others on this list. However, given the high turnover rate at the club and his recent appointment as club captain, Kilman's leadership role highlights his importance within the team.

With experienced players like Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho departing, Wolves have undergone significant changes. Yet, Kilman, alongside manager Gary O'Neil, has played a crucial role in helping the team surpass expectations this season. Despite initial concerns of relegation following a challenging summer, which included Julen Lopetegui's departure, Wolves currently sit comfortably in 11th place, 13 points clear of the relegation zone.
