Who is the highest-paid player in Manchester United F.C.?

Since the 2-18-19 season, Alexis Sanchez was the Man Utd player who was paid the most. This Chilean forward officially signed the contract with Man United in the 2018’s winter and soon after that, he became the highest-paid footballer not only inside the club but also all over the world. He earns 20 million euros within a year.

In the next and current season, David De Gea has taken this spotlight as the highest earner of the United, despite the fact that he’s not playing as a player that scores, but keeps their goal. David is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. This 28-year-old goalkeeper earns 19.5 million euros per season at Old Trafford.

A few things about Man United

This section is for those who haven’t got a deep look into the background of this prestigious English football club. Let’s learn some basic knowledge about Man United.

History

Man United, or Manchester United Football Club, is a professional English football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester City, England. This place is the origin of the names of the club, as well as their home ground.

Manchester United has long been known with their famous nickname as The Red Devils, in which the “Red” term refers to their red home shirt and the “Devils” is meant to imply their experienced players that might put so much burden on the opponent.

The club was first introduced in 1878 as another name, the Newton Heath LYR F.C. In 1902, it was changed to the current name. In 1958, the Munich air disaster from the British European Airways Flight 609 took the lives of eight Man United players.
