Who does Arsenal leave out now that Jesus is back and Trossard is flying?

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, must make some difficult choices regarding his forward line as the season enters its final stages.

When asked how he plans to keep all of his forwards happy following Gabriel Jesus' long-awaited return, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta couldn't help but smile. He chuckled and said, "It's a nice issue to have. "Trust me,"

And it's not surprising that Arteta is pleased with his attacking options right now given that he was having trouble finding enough players for his frontline only a few weeks prior. Eddie Nketiah and Leandro Trossard both suffered injuries within a short period of time, joining Jesus on the sidelines.

Nonetheless, Arsenal welcomed Jesus and Trossard back on Sunday at Fulham, and Nketiah could recover from his ankle injury after the intermission. Arteta suddenly possesses significant depth up front, as was seen at Craven Cottage. Also, he has players that can offer him genuine options in terms of where they can play.

Sharing the burden

Arteta stated, "We have substitutes that can play in several spots. And depending on the players' chemistry and what we need them to accomplish, we have different responsibilities to fill. Jesus' knee injury forced him to miss three months of Arsenal, but they handled it admirably.

Many believed Arsenal's title defense would crumble

When he got hurt, they were leading the Premier League by five points. They were still in front by five points when he came back following a 12-game absence. Without Jesus, many believed Arsenal's title defense would crumble, but that has not happened.

Bukayo Saka now has 11, Gabriel Martinelli has 12 league goals, and Martin Odegaard, who scored the third goal in Sunday's 3-0 victory at Fulham, has 10. The fact that just one other team in Europe's top five divisions, Paris Saint-Germain, has three players with double-digit season goals speaks something about Arsenal's team.

Together, they have carried the load, and now, with the addition of Trossard, who joined from Brighton in January, they have an even stronger team.

Trossard’s instant impact

The star of the show at Craven Cottage was the Belgian international, who played in Arteta's flexible frontline and assisted in the creation of all three goals. Through his first nine league games for the Gunners, Trossard has now tallied five assists and one goal. He has easily adapted to his new environment and is making it difficult for Arteta to exclude him.

But, with Jesus again healthy, Arteta will have to let someone down if the Brazilian is to rejoin the starting Eleven. Trossard, though, is not concerned about it at the moment. The 28-year-old claims to be enjoying the increased competition.

After Sunday's victory, when asked how much he was looking forward to competing with Jesus for the starting position, he replied, "A lot. "When I got here, I already had it. Not because I was a member of the starting XI since the first week. For it, I had to struggle. "As you witnessed in the last two weeks, I think our group is so strong and the level of competition is so high that we need everyone to win games," he said. It is the main focus. You can succeed in things in this way.

Easing Jesus back

Jesus is unlikely to start a game before the international break, so Arteta may still have some time before he has made some challenging choices. Given how long the ex-Manchester City player has been away, it is anticipated that his return will be gradual over the course of the next several games. Arteta played 13 minutes and added stoppage time against Fulham, and he'll try to increase that against Sporting CP on Thursday and Crystal Palace on Sunday.

But, the league's top team is unwilling to take any chances. They know they can't afford to push Jesus too hard after spending so much time on the sidelines, as much as they want to get him up to speed. Arteta spoke of the second coming of Christ and said, "He needs to earn his place like anyone else in the team.

Jesus is anticipated to captain the forward line during the important title run-in that comes after the international break when he is completely fit. With Saka and Martinelli on each side of him, his ability to perform under pressure is regarded as essential to Arsenal's chances of winning the title.

Trossard's entry and subsequent performance, though, have given Arteta real options that can help Arsenal win the game. Thanks to players coming back and some savvy transfer market maneuvering, he is currently in a stronger position than ever before. It makes sense why he finds it difficult to suppress his smile.
