Arsenal May Secure Premier League Transfer Swap Deal Involving Aaron Ramsdale

Arsenal and Wolves are considering a potential swap involving goalkeepers Aaron Ramsdale and Dan Bentley this summer.

Ramsdale, who has seen his position as Arsenal's No. 1 taken by David Raya and made only one Premier League start since December, is expected to depart the Gunners. Wolves have emerged as a likely destination for the 26-year-old.

Reports from talkSPORT indicate that Wolves are evaluating options for a new goalkeeper, with current No. 1 Jose Sa rumored to be leaving. Ramsdale and Crystal Palace's Sam Johnstone are being considered as possible replacements.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have made several attempts to secure Bentley as a backup to Raya, preferring to add a homegrown option to their squad. Consequently, Wolves might include Bentley in a player-plus-cash deal for Ramsdale.

"No footballer wants to not play," Ramsdale told talkSPORT about his future. "I've had a tough year personally with limited game time, and I never want to experience that again."

However, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has acknowledged that Ramsdale might remain at the Emirates. "The reality is that Aaron could stay because he is our player and has a contract," Arteta said in April.

This summer, Arsenal have added just two new players: Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna and David Raya, whose loan move has been made permanent. In contrast, Wolves have bolstered their squad with permanent signings Tommy Doyle, Rodrigo Gomes, and Pedro Lima, as well as the loan acquisition of Jorgen Strand Larsen.
