Gyokeres Drops Cryptic Transfer Hint Following Sporting’s Title Triumph

Viktor Gyökeres has attracted interest from several top clubs over the past year, with the Sporting CP striker enjoying a sensational season — netting 59 goals in 53 appearances across all competitions. However, it’s Arsenal who are reportedly leading the race for his signature. According to GiveMeSport, the Gunners are prepared to offer Gyökeres a salary of nearly £240,000 per week — a figure that would place him among the highest earners at the club, alongside Declan Rice and Martin Ødegaard.

Gyökeres helped Sporting CP clinch the Primeira Liga title on the final day of the season, with Benfica’s late stumble sealing the championship for the Lisbon side. During the celebrations, the Swedish international was once again asked about his future, but he declined to comment on any potential transfer.

Speaking to the media, Viktor Gyökeres remained tight-lipped about his future amid transfer speculation, saying:

"It's football — I'm still here. I don’t know what’s going to happen. Nobody can predict the future. I’m very happy — it was a great game for us. I’m pleased to have scored and helped us win. That’s what we wanted."
