PSG transfer news: Chelsea sent the wrong contract, PSG missed Hakim Ziyech’s deal

Because Chelsea sent the incorrect contract three times on the final day of the January 31 transfer, PSG and Chelsea reached an agreement for a loan but were unable to sign midfielder Hakim Ziyech.

After being loaned to PSG by Chelsea for a period of six months, Ziyech showed up in Paris and underwent a medical exam. The documentation was all that remained after PSG requested that Chelsea send a loan contract to Ziyech so they could submit it to the French professional league (LFP).

However, each of the three contracts supplied by Chelsea to PSG had flaws that prevented LFP from accepting them.PSG did not have enough time to register Ziyech before the French football transfer market closed since they did not submit enough paperwork for this move. Therefore, the 30-year-old midfielder won't be permitted to compete in Ligue 1.

Hakim Ziyech may not join PSG because of a documentation problem

PSG is complaining to the LFP, but it won't be possible to settle the issue until at least February 1st. Ziyech must continue to work at Stamford Bridge since, according to the French media, it is unlikely that PSG will be replicated.

This is not PSG's first setback in January; immediately before the Ziyech fiasco, the Ligue 1 powerhouses were unsuccessful in their pursuit of Malcom. Additionally, they planned to sign Milan Skriniar before the deadline. The defender will finish his Inter Milan contract before moving to Paris in the summer, despite reaching an agreement with the Parisiens.

The situation is regrettable for both PSG and Hakim Ziyech

Ziyech, 29, had fallen in Stamford Bridge's hierarchy. Graham Potter, the coach of Chelsea, doesn't utilize this player despite the fact that he has only started four Premier League games so far this year. In This season, Ziyech has only started four matches in the Premier League for Chelsea. No longer guaranteed the main kick, this midfielder is determined to leave to find the inspiration to play again.

The 29-year-old player became a victim of Chelsea during a massive shopping campaign at the 2022–23 mid-season market. "The Blues" brought in 8 rookies, the most recent being the transfer of Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for a fee of 120 million euros, breaking the record in English football. Moreover, if Ziyech moves to PSG, he will play with his teammate, Morocco Hakimi.

Hakim Ziyech had good performance in the World Cup 2022

Meanwhile, since the FIFA 2022 World Cup, PSG has experienced an increase in its need for inventiveness. Recently, Neymar, Carlos Soler, and Renato Sanches have all had difficulty maintaining their form.

Ziyech would not address PSG's defensive issues, which could have been helped by delaying Milan Skriniar's transfer from Inter Milan, but if completed, he could give more inventiveness to a club that is now lacking motivation. In their last four games, Les Parisiens have only won once, and Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar are trying to regain their World Cup form.
