Samuel Eto'o, the former striker who currently serves as the head of the Cameroon Football Association, is reportedly involved in a legal dispute in Italy. His 21-year-old daughter, Annie, has accused him of failing to meet his financial and familial responsibilities.

Annie was born in Padova, Italy in 2002 as a result of a relationship between Eto'o and Anna Maria Barranca, a woman from Sardinia.

Although Annie was acknowledged as Samuel Eto'o's daughter, the renowned African Footballer of the Year has never been involved in her life. Recently, as reported by the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the university student took a significant step by filing a complaint with the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office. Her complaint was submitted through her lawyer, Daniele Vianello from Venice.

The complaint, filed on October 13, follows Annie's unsuccessful attempts to establish contact with her father, which she described as her "last desperate attempt."

Annie is currently studying full-time in Milan but is financially dependent on her mother, who faces financial difficulties. In 2015, Samuel Eto'o was obligated to pay €10,000 in child support to Anna Maria Barranca. However, it is alleged that Eto'o did not fulfill this commitment, leading to an ongoing legal battle.

This is not the first time that Eto'o has been involved in such a situation. His daughter, Erika Do Rosario Nieves, also accused him of failing to provide child support in Spain. In February 2022, it was officially confirmed that Erika is his daughter, and a court ruled that Eto'o must pay €1,400 (£1,167) per month in child support. The payment plan was backdated to 2018, when the lawsuit was initiated.

According to the Spanish press agency EFE, Samuel Eto'o encountered a woman named Adileusa at a nightclub in 1997 while he was on loan at Leganes from Real Madrid. During his time at Leganes, she became pregnant in February 1998. However, it is alleged that Eto'o ceased responding to her calls and messages, and a lawsuit was initiated in 2018. The lawsuit claimed that Eto'o had expressed his preference for her not to give birth to the child.

It is worth noting that since 2007, Eto'o has been married to his wife Georgette, and together they have four children named Maelle, Etienne, Siena, and Lynn.
