Roma defender Evan Ndicka is currently recuperating in the hospital after collapsing on the field during Sunday's Serie A match against Udinese. The game, taking place at the Bluenergy Stadium, was halted after 72 minutes with the score tied at 1-1, following the unexpected collapse of the 24-year-old Ivory Coast international, which occurred off the ball.

Ndicka was carefully stretchered off the field after receiving on-site medical attention. Subsequently, Roma confirmed that the player was "feeling better" and "in good spirits" after being transported to the hospital for further examination.

A statement shared on Roma's official social media account reassured fans: "The team visited Ndicka at the hospital. Evan is feeling better and remains in good spirits. He will continue to undergo observation in the hospital. Forza Evan!"

Medical personnel swiftly responded to Ndicka's distress, and the decision was made to not resume the match as he was being transferred to the hospital. While Roberto Pereyra had initially given the home side the lead before halftime, Romelu Lukaku equalized for Roma with 64 minutes played.

In other matches, Serie A's runaway leaders, Internazionale, were held to a 2-2 draw by struggling Cagliari after substitute Nicolas Viola leveled the score late on.

Marcus Thuram put Inter ahead with a close-range effort in the 12th minute, but Cagliari equalized through Eldor Shomurodov after halftime. Hakan Calhanoglu restored Inter's lead with a penalty in the 74th minute, awarded for handball by Yerry Mina. However, Cagliari struck back again seven minutes from time through Viola.

With six games remaining, Inter maintains a commanding 14-point lead over second-placed Milan, who drew 3-3 against relegation-threatened Sassuolo earlier on Sunday, salvaging a point thanks to a late equalizer from substitute Noah Okafor.

Sassuolo surprised Milan with goals from Andrea Pinamonti and Armand Laurienté within the first ten minutes, but Rafael Leão's individual effort revived Milan's hopes. In a lively second half, Laurienté scored again for Sassuolo, but Milan's Luka Jovic and Okafor secured a draw for the visitors.

Inter could clinch their 20th Italian championship in the Milan derby on April 22nd against Stefano Pioli’s side.

Meanwhile, Napoli's quest for a top-four finish took a hit as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home by relegation-threatened Frosinone.

In Ligue 1 action, second-placed Brest suffered a 4-3 defeat at Lyon, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles' penalty in stoppage time leaving the visitors trailing leaders Paris Saint-Germain by 10 points. Despite the loss, Eric Roy’s Brest side remains on 53 points, just one ahead of Monaco, who have a game in hand. PSG's weekend match was rescheduled ahead of their Champions League quarter-final second leg against Barcelona, where they currently trail 3-2. Lyon extended their unbeaten run to five games and climbed to seventh place, just two points behind Lens in the race for European qualification.
