Jurgen Klopp Press Conference about Diaz's offside goal prompted an apology from the PGMOL

Liverpool's Alexis Mac Allister could find himself in a precarious situation with the Football Association (FA) following his controversial Instagram comment, which has since been deleted. The Argentine World Cup winner expressed dissatisfaction with the match officials' performance during Liverpool's Premier League fixture at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The match was marred by contentious decisions, including the disallowed goal of Luis Diaz and the red cards shown to Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota.

In response to fellow countryman Cristiano Romero's Instagram post celebrating Spurs' victory, Mac Allister remarked, "normal when you have 12 players," implying that the match officials favored Tottenham. Romero playfully retorted, "cry at home." Mac Allister later deleted his comment.

The Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) apologized for a "significant human error," but Liverpool has called for "escalation and resolution" to address officiating mistakes. Liverpool has felt aggrieved by several recent decisions, and manager Jurgen Klopp received a two-match touchline ban last season after accusing referee Paul Tierney of bias in a match against Spurs.

Despite the deleted comment, the FA may still choose to charge Mac Allister for questioning the integrity of a Premier League referee. Additionally, Liverpool is at risk of a fine from the FA for accumulating more than five yellow cards during their eventful clash with Tottenham.
