Eric Dier won the German title with Bayern Munich this month.

Eric Dier made 47 appearances for Bayern Munich but has opted not to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena, leaving the club as a Bundesliga champion.

The 31-year-old initially joined Bayern on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in January 2024, before making the move permanent later that summer.

He will join Ligue 1 side AS Monaco as a free agent on a three-year deal running until June 2028, with an option to extend for a further year.

The Bundesliga title marks the first major honour of Dier’s career. The England international, capped 49 times, previously finished as a runner-up with Spurs in the 2015 and 2021 League Cup finals and the 2019 UEFA Champions League final.

Dier made 365 appearances across nine and a half seasons for Tottenham, having signed from Sporting Lisbon in August 2014.

In a video released on Monaco’s official X account, Dier said: “I cannot wait to get started. I’m really looking forward to wearing this shirt and meeting everyone at the club and at Stade Louis II. I’m going to give everything to the club.”
