Getafe's Borja Mayoral 'Shocked' After Fire Breaks Out in Family Home

Getafe forward Borja Mayoral has expressed gratitude to fans for their support after a fire broke out at his home in Madrid, leaving his family in "shock."

The blaze, which occurred on Monday afternoon, prompted firefighters to respond to the house in Pozuelo de Alarcón, located to the west of Madrid.

"As you've seen in the media, I had an issue at home today," Mayoral wrote on X. "Thankfully, my family and I are safe, and it was just a scare. Thank you all for your messages of concern."

Mayoral's partner, Flavia Natalini, shared her own update on Instagram Story, saying, "A lot of you have been asking what happened. We're still in shock, but we're all OK, and that's what matters. Thank you to everyone."

She also posted images of the fire damage, along with a heartfelt thank-you to the firefighters. "What can I say about you? You're heroes!" she wrote.

The news agency EFE reported that the fire broke out in one of the bedrooms of the two-story building around 2:30 p.m. Fortunately, nobody was inside the house at the time of the blaze.

On the same day, Mayoral had received an award from the newspaper *Marca* as the top-scoring Spaniard in LaLiga last season.

The 27-year-old forward, a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy, has previously played for VfL Wolfsburg, Levante, and Roma. Mayoral was sidelined by a serious knee injury in March this year, following a standout campaign in which he scored a career-best 15 league goals for Getafe. He made his comeback last month and has since netted one goal in five LaLiga appearances this season.
