Palmer Extends Chelsea Contract by Two Years, Now Running Until 2033

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has now committed to a nine-year deal with improved terms following a sensational breakthrough season in west London.

Palmer, who joined Chelsea for £42.5 million from Manchester City last summer, made an immediate impact by scoring 25 goals and providing 15 assists in 45 appearances during his first season at the club.

Palmer is on the shortlist for both the PFA Player and Young Player of the Year awards, which will be announced in Salford next week. He has already claimed the Premier League Young Player of the Season award for 2023-24.

Chelsea will kick off their Premier League campaign on Sunday against Manchester City, with manager Enzo Maresca set to face his former club, where he helped secure the Treble in 2022-23 as Pep Guardiola's assistant.
