Cristiano Ronaldo's team entered the match as clear favorites against Al-Riyadh, but they faced unexpected challenges as the hosts effectively held them off in the first half. Despite Otavio's deflected shot giving Al-Nassr an early lead, Al-Riyadh managed to counter effectively, resulting in a stunning goal from Andre Gray to level the score. Mohammed Al-Aqel then put the hosts ahead with a remarkable bicycle kick before Ronaldo missed a clear chance to equalize.

In the second half, Al-Nassr intensified their attacks, but Ronaldo continued to struggle in front of goal, missing another opportunity created by Sadio Mane. Tensions rose, leading to Aymeric Laporte receiving a red card for an off-the-ball incident. However, Al-Nassr salvaged a draw in injury time thanks to Meshari Al-Nemer's goal.

Despite being considered underdogs, Al-Riyadh put up a strong fight in the match. Otavio's unfortunate deflected shot gave Al-Nassr the lead, but Al-Riyadh responded brilliantly with goals from Gray and Al-Aqel, putting them in a promising position. However, a mistake from substitute goalkeeper Abdulrahman Hadal allowed Al-Nemer to equalize, denying Al-Riyadh a crucial win that could have secured their safety.

Cristiano Ronaldo's struggles continued as he missed several chances for Al-Nassr, failing to replicate his previous stellar performances. His offside calls and poor finishing frustrated Al-Nassr fans, who were hoping for more from the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Aymeric Laporte's red card further complicated Al-Nassr's chances of staging a late comeback, leaving them with a numerical disadvantage. With their league season coming to an end, Al-Nassr will now focus on their upcoming King's Cup final against Al-Hilal after their final match against Al-Ittihad on May 27.
