Luis Rubiales Presents Evidence of Jenni Hermoso Allegedly Misrepresenting World Cup 2023 Kiss (Video)

The President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, has submitted a video clip to FIFA as evidence that female player Jenni Hermoso allegedly misrepresented the kiss between the two during the World Cup 2023. This development is considered a significant turning point in the alleged forced kiss case, drawing global condemnation.

According to El Espanyol, Rubiales is currently attempting to defend himself in FIFA's investigation. He has provided the global football governing body with a video clip that shows Hermoso joking about the kiss between them and their teammates on the Spanish women's national team immediately after the World Cup 2023 final.

Why is Jenni Hermoso concealing the truth about the kiss?

The video depicts Hermoso laughing while looking at a humorous meme on her mobile phone that features the kiss between her and Rubiales, as well as an image of fellow countryman and legendary goalkeeper Iker Casillas kissing Sara Carbonero, a Spanish television reporter. Carbonero, whom the former Real Madrid captain married after Spain won the 2010 World Cup.

Hermoso can also be seen enthusiastically explaining the incident to her teammates on the Spanish women's national team. Hermoso says, "Oh my God. Haven't you seen it? He came forward eagerly and hugged me like this," while mimicking the actions of the president of the Spanish Football Federation.

The Spanish women's national team players can also be seen chanting, "Kiss, kiss, kiss," on the bus after hearing Hermoso's account.

Twitter user Alvise Perez raised a series of suspicious questions about Hermoso: "Why did she boast to her teammates and pose jokingly with the meme of her kiss with Rubiales? Why are all her teammates now in shock and shouting at her 'kiss' on the bus after seeing the picture?

Why did she turn the Rubiales kiss into a 'joke' on the bus and laugh when Rubiales said 'no, I'm embarrassed'? I don't want her to 'tell the truth' because now all of Spain knows that. I want her in jail."

As previously reported, FIFA temporarily suspended Rubiales for 90 days after he kissed Spanish women's national team player Hermoso during the award ceremony following the World Cup 2023 final in Australia earlier this month. However, the president of the Spanish Football Federation has not resigned. Instead, he declared himself a victim of "misguided feminism."

Hermoso has repeatedly denied consenting to the kiss with Rubiales. In a show of solidarity, the Spanish women's national team players have collectively signed a letter refusing to return to play for the national team until Rubiales resigns or is fired.

Luis Rubiales did not lie in an alternate version

Fresh footage contradicts Luis Rubiales' account of the kiss shared with Jenni Hermoso after the Women's World Cup final, leaving the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) in an awkward position.

Following Spain's 1-0 victory over England in Sydney, Rubiales was seen embracing the victorious players and planting a kiss on the lips of Barcelona striker Hermoso. This action has led to widespread criticism and calls for his resignation from key positions, including his role as a UEFA vice-president.

Rubiales has maintained that the kiss was consensual and presented photos and an 800-word statement from the RFEF to support his claim. These materials purportedly showed that Hermoso initiated the interaction by lifting Rubiales off the ground.

However, a video shot from the stands, offering a different perspective, appears to depict Rubiales leaping into Hermoso's arms, contradicting the RFEF's narrative. The RFEF had asserted that "the feet of Mr. President are ostensibly raised off the ground as a result of the player's action. The evidence is conclusive. Mr. President has not lied."

Hermoso, in her own statement, emphasized that she "never consented to the kiss he gave me."

All 23 members of Spain's World Cup-winning squad have pledged not to represent the national team until Rubiales steps down, and 11 members of coach Jorge Vilda's staff have resigned.

Following another extensive meeting, the Spanish FA has recommended Rubiales's resignation. FIFA has banned him from all football-related activities pending a full investigation into the incident.

RECOMMENED

In a twist, Rubiales and the RFEF have written to UEFA, seeking a ban on Spanish teams from European competitions due to alleged government interference in sporting matters, but this request has been rejected.

This ongoing and often bizarre saga shows no signs of conclusion, as Rubiales's mother has announced a hunger strike until her son's name is cleared.
