FC Barcelona Reaches Agreement with New Head Coach to Succeed Xavi

Xavi had initially declared his intention to resign at the end of the season following a post-match press conference in January, after a 5-3 defeat to Villarreal at the Montjuic Stadium. Despite setbacks such as a loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarterfinals and a defeat in El Clasico, he later reversed his decision and opted to fulfill his contract, which runs until June 30, 2025.

However, tensions arose anew when Xavi made candid remarks about Barcelona's financial challenges and its impact on competing with Madrid. This reportedly displeased President Joan Laporta and the club's board, leading to speculation from RAC1 that Xavi could be dismissed soon.
